Divorce by agreement is faster and cheaper
If you can agree with your partner on the children, maintenance and property, the divorce can be handled in a single court hearing. We will prepare all three contracts (custody, division of SJM, housing arrangement) so the court approves them without delays and we will represent you in court.
Contested divorce and child custody
If agreement is not possible, we defend the interests of the client and their children in court. In custody matters we always look for the solution that is in the best interest of the child – be it sole custody, shared custody or contact arrangements. We also prepare materials for expert assessment.
Maintenance – setting and modification
The amount of maintenance depends on the income and property of the obliged parent and the needs of the child. We help with the initial determination, increases and decreases when circumstances change. We also enforce maintenance arrears and, where appropriate, file criminal complaints for failure to provide maintenance.
Division of SJM
After divorce the joint marital property must be divided within three years – real estate, savings, investments and debts. We prepare a division agreement or represent the client in court. We cooperate with tax advisers so that the division does not create an unnecessary tax burden.

+How long does an uncontested divorce take?
For an uncontested divorce, the spouses must either have lived apart for a year or have been married longer than a year and agree on the substantive issues. From filing the petition to a final judgment it usually takes 2–4 months.
+How much will maintenance for my child be?
Courts follow the recommended tables of the Ministry of Justice, but the actual circumstances are decisive. After receiving documents on income and expenses we can estimate the realistic range.
+Do I have a right to shared custody?
Shared custody is the preferred model if both parents can properly care for the child, live within reach of the school and can communicate. We will realistically assess your situation and chances in court.
+How quickly can a violent partner be expelled from the home?
In an acute threat the police can expel the offender for 10 days immediately. The court usually extends the expulsion within a few days based on a preliminary injunction. We help with the petition and follow-up protection.
